We are delighted to confirm that Junior age group training sessions will start on Friday the 17th July, initially this will be a 4-week programme. We are also pleased for confirm that we have now arrange a minimum of 4 matches with local teams for each of the age groups, these fixtures will be published shortly plus any others we are able to arrange.
Training – Starting on 17th July
Age Group Start Times
U9’s – 5.30 to 6.30 – Maximum of 10
U11’s – 5.30 to 6.30 – Maximum of 10
15min swap over
U13’s and U15’s – 6.45 to 7.45 (will train together maximum of 20 juniors)
On arrival everyone must use hand sanitiser before starting training and at end of the session, this will be provided by the club and will be positioned at the end of carpark by the Oak Tree.
Registration will also be carried out at this point and you will be allocated a training group for the evening.
Please can I ask you to be aware of the following conditions which will help minimise any risk to you and the coaches.
These sessions will be run as per the Government and ECB guidelines as they stand today, which means they will train in small groups of 5 + 1 coach, they will stay in these groups throughout the session.
- Training sessions open to members only.
- Confirmation of attendance using the attached link must be completed by the Wednesday evening prior to the Friday session. If we end up with too many for any of the sessions a rota will be implemented
- Always keep 2m apart for each other where possible. (current restrictions are 1m+)
- Max 6 per training group and must stay in these groups throughout the whole session. (Groups will be allocated on arrival)
- Everyone to bring their own full equipment required and ball if possible.
- Including their own drink and drinks bottle.
- No sharing of equipment between people.
- On arrival everyone must use hand sanitiser before starting training and at end of the session, this will be provided by the club and will be positioned at the end of carpark by the Oak Tree
- Stations will be set up and each group will rotate through each one during the session.
- There will be a 5 mins break between each session for drinks break and cleaning of equipment used ready for next group to use.
- Each group will have a designated coach to oversee each session
- Access to the Pavilion is not allowed, use of toilets facilities is allowed but please ensure social distancing is maintained.
Parents
Ideally we want to keep the number of people at the ground to a minimum, so can we ask that any siblings to those training do not come along, the area in front of the pavilion will be out of bounds restricted to the coaches only.
Can we please ask you to maintain social distancing in the area of the carpark off the boundary. Please take any rubbish home with you.

Selection Policy – Youth Teams
Selection for matches will be made by the lead coach and based on a
mixture of the following criteria; skill level, attitude and behaviour
and attendance at training. Whilst every effort will be made to try and
get all players at least one competitive match during the season in
order to safeguard the welfare of the player and the integrity of the
match a minimum ability standard must be reached in order for a player
to be picked.
