East Woodhay Cricket Club Won by 68 runs

Match report East Woodhay under 9s got off to a fantastic wining start with a victory over West Ilsley by 68 runs. The first league match of the season took place in glorious sunshine and batting first East Woodhay ended the 15 overs with an impressive 262 runs. Bertie Darke top scored with 17, with Sam Wills and Rory Saich also reaching double figures with 12 and 11 respectively and Hugo Holmes contributing 9.

Jack Robbins was the pick of the Woodhay bowlers taking his three wickets in a single over and fielded well too holding on to a couple of great catches. There were two wickets apiece for Torita Chakravaty, Hugo Holmes and Bertie Darke. Debutants Harry Jacobs, Milo Garrety and Theo King played their part, bowling, batting and fielding confidently to make a valuable contribution to a great all round performance.
